Thanks to the Mr. Fill solar bin, the Municipality of Žminj reduces costs and protects the environment!

The Municipality of Žminj has once again demonstrated its commitment to environmental protection and the modernization of communal infrastructure by installing the smart Mr. Fill solar bin in the central park.
This innovative bin, procured by the Municipality from Apparis Group, features an integrated electronic compactor powered by solar energy, with a capacity up to seven times greater than a standard waste bin.
Mr. Fill uses the Smart City Manager platform for management and monitoring, recording the status and usage data of the waste containers and notifying staff. When a bin needs emptying, Smart City Manager provides timely alerts via the app or email on a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
This leads to less waste, reduced CO₂ emissions, and up to 75% lower costs for public waste collection.
In this way, Žminj further contributes to more sustainable waste management and smart public space administration. The installation of this system is part of the Municipality of Žminj’s broader vision to create a cleaner, smarter, and more energy-efficient environment for all citizens.
